Who is MSFAA?

The Michigan Student Financial Aid Association (MSFAA), founded in 1967, is a state organization that brings together postsecondary schools and other public and private organizations involved with providing financial aid for students. The Executive Board, which consists of seven members and five sector representatives, govern the organization within the guidelines set forth in the bylaws. Working together, committees carry out the tasks mandated by the Executive Board during the course of the year.

MSFAA Mission Statement

The mission of the Association is to enhance student financial aid awareness, to promote student access to postsecondary education and to provide professional development opportunities for its members.

The Michigan Student Financial Aid Association prides itself on working with a diverse group of financial aid administrators, students, post-secondary institutions, and partners. We recognize that present social injustices still exist. MSFAA is dedicated to promoting continuing efforts to embrace the perspectives and experiences that arise from racial, ethnic, socio-economic, sexual, gender,
and religious diversity within our communities. We are committed to promoting access,diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization so that all barriers and biases may be eliminated.There is value in the things that make us different.
