Leaders of Tomorrow President’s Leadership Symposium

Every two years MSFAA provides the opportunity for financial aid colleagues to further develop their leadership abilities and increase their skills within the association. The workshop is intended to support those who have a passion for our profession and will become an asset to MSFAA.
The retreat will engage participants in different leadership dialogues as well as provide tools to advance their professional development skills while learning about the importance of our association. Participants will leave with a variety of learning experiences that can be quickly implemented in their respective workplaces.

MSFAA 2017 Support Staff Workshop - “Best Practices in Customer Service”

The 2017 focus on excellent customer service techniques is designed for professionals in your office who are your front-line staff, and handle the bulk of the heavy lifting when it comes to customer and client contact, phone calls with students and their families, and all the other ways that you deliver service from your office.
The workshop includes, The Art of Managing Difficult Conversations, Student Eligibility vs Verification, Prior-prior year Panel discussion, Radical Hospitality, and much more. Join us for a day full of the Best practices in Customer Service as it relates to our ever changing, ever growing field of Financial Aid.

Stitch ‘n’ …..Complain Session: Come spend some time with crafters in financial aid discussing their craft projects, new project ideas ,and financial aid woes. Bring your own yarn and other craft project or pick up a spare set of knitting needles (or crochet hook) to pull together a summer conference memento of your very own. Do you want to learn to crochet or knit? Come learn with your MSFAA crew. Join us and make connections with those you can contact in a financial aid or yarn emergency.
